Whelp, something worked yesterday.
This little resistor cost us a whopping $7.66 at NAPA. We replaced it yesterday, and the Brave started right up. YAY! After Andrew took the old resistor out, he tested its capacity and it seemed to be working just fine. Hm? Maybe it was the combination of barely recharged battery and the few wires we found disconnected keeping it from starting. Either way, with the battery charged, wires reconnected, and new resistor, the Winnebago runs like a top again. Thank goodness, because I was starting to get worried.
Time to plan a trip! Also, time to start looking at re-doing the interior. We've pretty much locked into getting new Flor carpet for it. Its perfect for small spaces...it comes in tiles that are fastened down with little tabs, so when your dog pukes on a spot and ruins it, you pull up the tile and pop down a new one. Perfect! It comes in all different colors, textures, and patterns.
Tonight we'll measure our square footage and include floor space we know we want to cover after we replace the fold out bench with a dinette. Sounds like a plan!
